Our client, a leading provider of digital construction solutions, is looking for a skilled and motivated BIM Specialist to join their team. This role involves utilising industry-leading software to support various construction projects and participating in onsite visits to ensure project alignment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • BIM Modelling and Coordination: Use advanced BIM software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks to create and manage digital models for various construction projects. Ensure that all models adhere to project specifications and industry standards.
  • Software Utilisation: Employ a range of software tools, including AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks, to develop, modify, and manage BIM models. Ensure models are accurate and up-to-date, reflecting the current state of the project.
  • Onsite Visits: Participate in regular onsite visits to gather data, monitor project progress, and ensure that the BIM models align with actual construction activities. Work closely with onsite teams to facilitate effective communication and coordination.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with project teams, including architects, engineers, and construction professionals, to integrate BIM models and ensure seamless project execution. Facilitate coordination meetings and resolve any issues related to BIM implementation.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks on BIM models to ensure accuracy, compliance with project requirements, and adherence to industry standards. Identify and rectify any discrepancies or errors.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of BIM models and project progress. Generate reports and provide insights to support project decision-making and planning.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to team members and stakeholders on BIM processes and software. Promote the adoption of BIM practices and ensure that all team members are proficient in using the tools and technologies.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • BIM Experience: Any level of experience in BIM modelling and coordination. Familiarity with BIM software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or Navisworks is essential.
  • Technical Background: A background in engineering, architecture, or a relevant trade. Practical experience in the construction industry is highly beneficial.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in using BIM software tools, particularly AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks. Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software and technologies.
  • Onsite Experience: Willingness and ability to conduct onsite visits, gather data, and collaborate with construction teams. Experience in onsite construction activities is an advantage.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in BIM modelling and documentation. Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage and resolve technical issues related to BIM implementation.
