We’re proud to be representing a boutique maritime engineering consultancy that’s making waves in the design and delivery of coastal and port infrastructure. With a growing presence across offices in Portsmouth and London, this highly specialised firm is known for its technical precision, collaborative ethos, and progressive approach to engineering challenges. As part of their ongoing growth, they are seeking a skilled CAD Technician to support a variety of complex and high-profile projects.
This position is ideal for a detail-oriented and experienced CAD Technician who enjoys working on technically diverse civil and structural design projects. You’ll play a key role in producing high-quality drawings and models to support the engineering team, ensuring seamless coordination across disciplines. While the work focuses on maritime structures, direct sector experience is not essential — what’s more important is a solid background in civil or structural CAD drafting and adaptability across software platforms.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- 5–20 years of experience as a CAD Technician in civil or structural engineering
- Proficiency in a range of CAD software packages (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation)
- Strong technical drafting skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to interpret and translate engineering concepts into accurate technical drawings
- Experience working in multidisciplinary design teams
- Exposure to maritime or coastal projects is a plus but not required
- Strong organisational skills and a collaborative approach to work
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small but growing consultancy where your contributions will be highly valued and visible. The company offers flexible working options, a supportive and technically strong team environment, and the chance to work on unique infrastructure projects. If you’re an experienced CAD Technician looking to take the next step in a specialist design setting, we’d love to hear from you.
