Expert Witness Geotechnical Engineer

Access have partnered with a huge American consultancy which has a gigantic market share across marine, science, environmental and civil markets. Having opened up the European market through their UK based team, they are looking for a well experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join their disputes and expert witness team in London. Our client has over thousands of specialists in their team, but their environmental and geotechnical team is small – however, do you a sustained period of success, they have won some high profile cases and are looking for additional staff to continue growing their team out.

Our client is looking for a Geotechnical Engineer who is well seasoned in dispute resolution and expert witness work, preferably having worked for a firm in the UK or London market. As a consultant in a growing team, you will be expected to fight on multiple fronts, not just settling disputes and providing detailed opinion and report writing, but also developing business for our client by finding new clients, and relying on your contacts and string industry relationships. This would not be a typical 9-5, our client is looking for someone who can go above and beyond to develop this arm of the business and grow into a managerial or Director position.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• 8+ years’ experience in Geotechnical dispute or expert witness
   
• A relevant degree – Geotechnical Eng, Civil Eng etc
   
• A very strong level of oral and written English and history of report writing
   
• The right to live and work in the UK
