About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to join a dynamic and rapidly growing M&E contractor, renowned for delivering high-value data centre projects across Europe. This role is based on-site in Sweden and is a key leadership position within a major mission-critical project.

As the Lead Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the electrical engineering team, managing the coordination and execution of all electrical systems on-site. You will report directly to senior management and lead a team of senior engineers, ensuring the timely and quality delivery of electrical packages in alignment with project goals.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all electrical engineering activities on a large-scale data centre project.
  • Coordinate closely with project managers, commercial teams, and other disciplines (mechanical, CSA).
  • Manage and mentor senior and junior electrical engineers on site.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, project specifications, and international standards.
  • Review and approve technical submittals, shop drawings, and material approvals.
  • Support procurement by reviewing and selecting equipment and materials.
  • Liaise with client representatives and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
  • Drive quality assurance, health & safety, and commissioning processes.
  • Report regularly to senior management on progress, risks, and key metrics.

 

Requirements

  • Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 8+ years' experience in electrical engineering within the M&E contracting environment.
  • Proven leadership experience on data centre or other mission-critical projects.
  • Strong understanding of power distribution, UPS, generator systems, BMS, and LV/HV infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to lead teams under pressure and meet demanding project deadlines.
  • Willingness to work on rotation or relocate full-time to Sweden.
