Job Title:
Class 1 MMA SC Coded Welders
Location: South West England
Job Type: Contract (Initial 1 year, with potential to extend up to 6+ years)
Hours: Minimum 50 hours per week (12-hour shifts – days, backs, and nights available)
Pay Rates:
Basic: £34.50 per hour
Back Shift: £41.50 per hour
Night Shift: £50+ per hour
Sunday Rates: Available
Referral Bonus: Up to £250!!
The Opportunity:
Access Talent Group is excited to be working with a new client on a significant long-term project in the South West of England. We are currently recruiting Class 1 MMA SC Coded Welders with experience in submarine and confined space environments.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-profile project, enhance your specialist trade skills, and secure long-term, rewarding work.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform high-integrity MMA welding in submarine and confined space environments
Adhere to strict health, safety, and quality standards
Complete a fully paid weld test and onboarding process (approx. 3–4 days)
Requirements:
Qualified Class 1 MMA Welder
Ability to interpret and apply basic welding codes
Experience in:
12mm butt welds
25mm plate welding (including two-stage processes)
Previous submarine/confined space experience (preferable)
Eligible for:
UK Security Clearance
BPSS Clearance
DBS Check
Willing to relocate or work away in the South West (accommodation not provided)
Available for minimum 50 hours per week
Able to pass full compliance and reference checks
Additional Information:
Weld test is paid
Overtime available after onboarding
Successful candidates have relocated from regions including North Wales, Newcastle, and Edinburgh
