A Principal Geotechnical Engineer is required to join a leading UK consultancy and be involved in some of the UKs most high profile projects. You will become a Team leader and manage projects and provide direction the discipline team. You will work on the planning, design and supervision on a wide range of projects including highways, harbours, ports, water treatment plants, reservoirs, rail and structures.

 

You will work as part of a wider team to deliver on a wide range of projects providing technical input including geotechnical calculations, drawings, specifications and reports. You will collaborate with other design disciplines to produce a high quality overall design. You will have previous geotechnical design experience including foundations (shallow foundations and piles), retaining walls and slope stability assessments. As part of this role you will also lead and team and be involved in the support and development of junior staff.

 

To be considered for this role you will:

  • Have previous Geotechnical design experience.
     
  • A relevant degree Civil Engineering or similar
     
  • Experience in Geotechnical design programs (e.g. VDISP/PDISP, WALLAP, SLIDE, REPUTE and SlopeW.)
     
  • Be chartered of working towards
     
  • Full UK drivers Licence
