Regional Electrical Quality Lead – Europe
Location: Various sites across Europe
About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Regional Electrical Quality Lead to provide functional QA leadership across multiple data centre projects throughout Europe.
This is a multi-site, regional position rather than a single-project role. You will travel to different project sites during the working week, providing electrical quality assurance, conducting audits, supporting site teams and driving consistent standards across the portfolio, with travel home for the weekend.
The role offers the opportunity to work across major mission-critical projects, influence quality standards at a regional level and play a key role in reducing rework, improving first-time-right delivery and ensuring projects are fully audit and handover ready.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the regional electrical audit programme across multiple data centre projects.
- Conduct regular site audits and quality surveillance, including planned and unannounced audits where appropriate.
- Produce clear and concise audit reports, identifying findings, risks and required corrective actions.
- Manage regional quality action trackers, assigning owners and deadlines and verifying closeout through objective evidence.
- Provide guidance and coaching to site QA/QC teams, electrical package teams and subcontractors.
- Identify recurring defects and systemic quality issues and drive root-cause and preventative actions across multiple projects.
- Escalate high-risk non-conformities and quality or safety concerns at an early stage.
- Ensure ITPs, checklists, hold points and witness points are consistently implemented and documented.
- Review test packs, inspection records and handover documentation to ensure they meet contractual requirements.
- Ensure quality evidence is complete, traceable and properly maintained within ACC/BIM 360.
- Track key quality performance indicators, including audit scores, NCR trends, repeat findings, first-pass acceptance and rework.
- Work closely with commissioning and client QA teams to align quality expectations and readiness requirements.
- Lead weekly/fortnightly quality calls with individual project teams.
- Support sites in resolving complex quality closeout issues, design clarifications, vendor documentation gaps and access constraints.
- Standardise quality processes, checklists, photographic evidence, test-pack structures and acceptance criteria across the portfolio.
- Lead lessons-learned reviews and implement improvements to prevent recurring issues.
Electrical Quality Experience
Strong practical knowledge across electrical installation and quality assurance, including:
- Containment and cable management.
- Cable terminations, torque records, labelling and identification.
- Cable segregation and installation compliance.
- Earthing and bonding continuity.
- Insulation resistance testing and functional checks.
- Electrical inspection and test documentation.
- Switchgear, UPS and generator interfaces.
- FAT/SAT documentation and vendor quality records.
- LOTO and energisation quality governance.
- Test-pack and handover documentation.
Requirements
- Strong electrical technical background with experience in data centres, mission-critical or complex electrical projects.
- Minimum 5 years' experience within data centre/mission-critical delivery, electrical QA/QC or a similar environment.
- Proven experience conducting audits, inspections and quality surveillance.
- Strong understanding of electrical installation standards, testing and quality requirements.
- Experience managing NCRs, corrective actions and root-cause analysis.
- Ability to identify systemic issues and implement preventative measures across multiple projects.
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to challenge site teams, subcontractors and project stakeholders constructively.
- Strong organisational and reporting skills with a disciplined approach to action tracking and closeout.
- Comfortable working with digital quality and evidence-management platforms, particularly ACC/BIM 360.
- Degree, trade qualification or equivalent background in Electrical Engineering, Building Services or a related discipline.
- Working knowledge of relevant electrical standards, statutory requirements and commissioning readiness processes.
- Multi-site or regional project experience is highly desirable.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively across Europe during the working week.
- Home every weekend, with travel arrangements provided in line with the project requirements.
What Makes This Opportunity Different
This is an opportunity to move beyond single-site QA and take ownership of electrical quality across a European data centre portfolio. You will have visibility across multiple major projects, influence regional standards and work directly with senior project, commissioning and client teams to drive measurable improvements in quality and delivery.
