Access Talent Group is working with a well-established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy that is seeking an experienced Senior Civil CAD Technician to join its growing Dublin team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician to support the delivery of active travel, public realm and urban infrastructure projects.
The successful candidate will play a key role in producing and coordinating high-quality civil engineering drawings across all project stages. You will work closely with engineers, technicians and wider multidisciplinary design teams to ensure accurate and coordinated project delivery.

Key responsibilities
Prepare civil engineering plans, sections, details and associated drawings.Produce drawing packages across feasibility, preliminary design, detailed design and construction stages.Develop and manage coordinated drawing packages in line with project standards and requirements.Coordinate drawings with civil, structural, drainage, landscape and other design disciplines.Assist engineers with design documentation and technical project outputs.Update and revise drawings following design development, technical reviews and client feedback.Ensure drawings comply with relevant Irish standards, specifications and company procedures.Support project BIM processes and ensure drawings align with BIM execution requirements.Maintain drawing registers, revision records and document-control systems.Carry out quality checks to ensure accuracy, consistency and technical compliance.Work closely with engineers and wider multidisciplinary project teams.Support the delivery of active travel, public realm and urban infrastructure schemes.
Candidate requirements
A minimum of seven years’ experience in civil engineering drafting.Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.Experience preparing drawings through all project stages, from feasibility to construction.Previous experience working within multidisciplinary engineering or design teams.Good understanding of civil engineering principles and design workflows.Familiarity with Irish civil engineering standards and guidance.Strong attention to detail and organisational ability.Good communication and teamwork skills.Awareness of BIM processes and project requirements.Experience working on active travel, public realm, roads or urban infrastructure projects would be highly advantageous.Civil 3D experience would be advantageous.
