Senior CSA Engineer – Data Centre Project (Freelance to Permanent)

We are recruiting a Senior CSA Engineer (Civil, Structural & Architectural) to support the delivery of a specialist data centre infrastructure project in Denmark.

This role will focus on site execution, quality assurance, and technical coordination of CSA works, including support to a high-voltage docking cable installation package. You will work client-facing, supervising contractors, managing inspections, and ensuring all works meet project specifications and QA standards.

This is an 18-week project with the opportunity to move from freelance into a permanent position.

Role Overview

You will take ownership of CSA delivery on site, overseeing subcontractors, managing ITP/QA processes, and ensuring works are completed safely, compliantly, and to programme. The position suits someone with a strong construction background who has progressed through site engineering roles and is confident leading meetings and representing the client technically.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day delivery of CSA works on site
• Supervise subcontractors and ensure works meet drawings, specifications, and programme
• Manage inspections, test plans (ITPs), and QA documentation
• Coordinate civil and structural works linked to HV infrastructure and cable docking scope
• Review method statements, technical submissions, and site documentation
• Attend and lead technical and progress meetings with contractors and stakeholders
• Identify and resolve site issues proactively
• Ensure health, safety, and quality standards are maintained throughout

Requirements

• Background in Civil, Structural or Architectural engineering (CSA focus – not MEP)
• Experience on data centre or other mission-critical/industrial projects preferred
• Strong site engineering and construction delivery experience
• Proven knowledge of QA/ITP processes and documentation control
• Confident working client-facing and leading technical discussions
• Practical mindset with experience progressing through site-based roles
• Ability to work full-time on site
