Senior/Principal Ecologist

An award-winning and market-leading global multi-disciplinary consultancy is looking to hire a Senior or Principal Ecologist to work in their Exeter office. You will join a business at the forefront of the implementation of Biodiversity Net Gain to work on nationally important infrastructure projects. You will join an established and supportive national team to manage projects and support and mentor a regional team.

You will be an enthusiastic and experienced Ecologist with previous experience leading and managing projects. You will also have a strong knowledge of Habitat Regulation Assessments, UKHab classification and the Natural England Biodiversity Metric. As part of your role, you will manage regional projects, including technical and financial aspects and have the desire to progress into a leadership role and assist in leading a team

To be considered for this role you will:

• Have CIEEM membership, or equivalent and chartership
   
• A degree in Ecology, or similar related subject
   
• Protected species survey licence
   
• A full UK Driving License.
