About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Civil Site Manager to join a leading EPC contractor delivering major high-voltage substation projects across Finland and Norway. This is a long-term opportunity working on the construction of critical power infrastructure supporting hyperscale data centre developments.

You will be responsible for managing all civil construction activities on site, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

This is a site-based position offered on a rotation basis with an excellent package and a strong pipeline of secured projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all civil construction activities throughout the substation project lifecycle
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel to ensure works are completed safely and efficiently
• Oversee earthworks, foundations, drainage, roads, fencing, concrete structures and associated civil infrastructure
• Monitor progress against programme and implement recovery plans where required
• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with project specifications, drawings and quality standards
• Conduct daily site inspections and coordinate site activities with electrical and commissioning teams
• Lead toolbox talks, site meetings and planning sessions
• Ensure compliance with HSE legislation, company procedures and client requirements
• Manage project documentation including RFIs, inspections, permits and progress reports
• Liaise with the Project Manager, client representatives, consultants and local authorities where required
• Support commercial teams with variations and change management relating to civil works.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Civil Site Manager on HV substation projects
• Strong background delivering substations from initial civil works through to energisation
• Experience managing large civil subcontractors on live construction sites
• Good understanding of reinforced concrete, earthworks, drainage, foundations and heavy civil construction
• Ability to interpret civil engineering drawings and project specifications.Strong leadership and communication skills
• Experience working within EPC environments is highly desirable
• Familiarity with international HSE and quality management systems
• Full driving licence
• EU passport or the right to work within Europe is advantageous.
