The Role
We’re seeking a skilled Civil CAD Technician to join our growing Bristol team. You’ll support engineers across various disciplines to produce high-quality civil and infrastructure drawings and models. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on diverse projects ranging from urban developments and highways to drainage and public realm schemes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings for civil engineering designs
  • Work closely with engineers and project managers to support design development
  • Assist with drawing management and CAD standards compliance
  • Collaborate on BIM coordination when required
  • Ensure timely delivery of drawing packages in line with project deadlines
  • Undertake revisions and updates to existing drawings as projects evolve

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a CAD Technician role within a civil or infrastructure engineering environment
  • Proficient in AutoCAD (Civil 3D experience highly desirable)
  • Familiarity with UK design standards (e.g. DMRB, Sewers for Adoption, Building Regs)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • ONC/HNC or equivalent in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (preferred)

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience working within a multidisciplinary consultancy environment
  • Knowledge of BIM processes and software (e.g. Revit, Navisworks)
  • Understanding of drainage, highways, and earthworks design principles
