The Role
We’re seeking a skilled Civil CAD Technician to join our growing Bristol team. You’ll support engineers across various disciplines to produce high-quality civil and infrastructure drawings and models. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on diverse projects ranging from urban developments and highways to drainage and public realm schemes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings for civil engineering designs
- Work closely with engineers and project managers to support design development
- Assist with drawing management and CAD standards compliance
- Collaborate on BIM coordination when required
- Ensure timely delivery of drawing packages in line with project deadlines
- Undertake revisions and updates to existing drawings as projects evolve
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a CAD Technician role within a civil or infrastructure engineering environment
- Proficient in AutoCAD (Civil 3D experience highly desirable)
- Familiarity with UK design standards (e.g. DMRB, Sewers for Adoption, Building Regs)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- ONC/HNC or equivalent in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (preferred)
Desirable Skills:
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary consultancy environment
- Knowledge of BIM processes and software (e.g. Revit, Navisworks)
- Understanding of drainage, highways, and earthworks design principles
