Commercial Quantity Surveyor – Data Centre / HV Projects

We’re looking for a Commercial Quantity Surveyor to play a key role in the commercial management of a major data centre and high-voltage infrastructure project. This is a high-impact position where you’ll take ownership of cost control, contract management, and commercial strategy across a complex, fast-paced build.

Working closely with project leadership, you’ll ensure strong financial performance while supporting the successful delivery of critical infrastructure.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Take ownership of the commercial performance of the project
• Manage budgets, forecasts, and cost reportingAdminister main contracts and subcontract packages (NEC, FIDIC or similar)
• Lead subcontractor procurement, negotiations, and commercial management
• Manage variations, claims, and change control processes
• Prepare valuations, applications for payment, and final accountsIdentify and mitigate commercial risks and opportunities
• Support value engineering and cost optimisationWork closely with delivery teams to ensure commercial alignment

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor / Commercial QS on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects
• Strong background in data centres, HV, or mission-critical projects is highly desirable
• Solid understanding of contract forms such as NEC or FIDIC
• Strong commercial acumen and cost control experience
• Confident managing subcontractors and complex commercial interfaces
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or similar
