Pre-Construction Project Manager – Data Centre / HV Projects

We’re looking for a Pre-Construction Project Manager to take ownership of early-stage delivery on high-voltage substation and data centre projects across Scandinavia. This is a key role sitting between engineering, commercial, and delivery teams — shaping projects from bid-win through to construction readiness.

You’ll lead the full pre-construction phase, ensuring projects are technically sound, commercially aligned, and set up for successful execution.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Own the pre-construction phase from bid handover through to construction readiness
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across engineering, procurement, and commercialDefine scope, programme, and technical requirements with internal teams and clients
• Act as the main point of contact for clients during early project stages
• Lead design coordination across electrical, civil, structural, and mechanical scopesManage external engineering partners and ensure integrated design delivery
• Oversee project planning, scheduling, and early cost development
• Prepare tender packages and support procurement strategyIdentify risks early and drive practical, buildable solutions
• Ensure a smooth and structured handover to construction teams

What We’re Looking For

• 7+ years’ experience in project management or engineering coordination
• Strong background in HV substations, utilities, or data centre projects
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and external design partners
• Good understanding of grid connections and TSO/DSO interfaces
• Strong commercial awareness and experience with budgets and planning
• Confident communicator, comfortable managing clients and stakeholders
• Experience with tools like MS Project, Primavera, ACC, or similar
