An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join a growing consultancy team delivering on major water and wastewater frameworks across Scotland.
This role offers the chance to work on prestigious long-term programmes leading into AMP8, AMP9, and beyond—securing a varied career path in one of the UK’s most vital industries. You’ll work with multidisciplinary teams to support the delivery of projects that directly impact millions of people, ensuring resilient and sustainable water services for generations to come.
As a Project Manager, you will:
- Lead projects through the full lifecycle, from inception to handover, applying the four pillars of project management: Plan, Organise, Lead, Control.
- Manage financial and contractual aspects of projects, ensuring compliance with NEC4 contracts, budgets, and timeframes.
- Work closely with programming, logistics, and operational teams to meet project requirements.
- Apply and champion company systems and processes, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
- Prepare and monitor accurate financial control systems, including monthly cost/value reconciliations.
- Support the preparation of estimates and proposals during the bid stage.
- Build and maintain positive client relationships, negotiating and resolving issues effectively.
What We’re Looking For
- We’re seeking someone with a proactive mindset and strong leadership skills who is passionate about delivering successful water-sector projects.

- Proficiency in project management systems, processes, and tools.
- Solid experience managing projects within technical, construction, or utilities sectors.
- Knowledge and application of NEC4 contracts and compensation events.
- Strong commercial awareness with financial and contractual control experience.
- Ability to identify and manage risks effectively.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline (preferred but not essential).
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar role within the water or infrastructure sector is desirable.
- Full UK right to work
