We are currently working with a national client who is looking to bring on a Residential Valuation Surveyor in North West London due to growth. The Residential Valuer is responsible for providing accurate, independent valuations of residential properties for a range of purposes, including mortgage lending, sales, taxation, and other professional instructions. The role requires strong market knowledge, attention to detail, and compliance with relevant professional and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out inspections and valuations of residential properties, including houses, flats, new-builds, and developments
- Prepare clear, accurate, and timely valuation reports in line with client requirements
- Ensure all valuations comply with RICS Valuation – Global Standards (Red Book) and relevant legislation
- Analyse local property markets, comparable evidence, and market trends
- Liaise professionally with clients, lenders, estate agents, solicitors, and other stakeholders
- Manage workload effectively to meet deadlines and service level agreements
- Maintain accurate records and case files
- Identify and report any risks, defects, or factors that may affect property value
- Keep up to date with changes in property law, regulation, and market conditions
- Adhere to company policies, quality standards, and compliance procedures
Skills and Experience Required:
- Proven experience in residential property valuation
- Strong knowledge of the local and regional residential property market
- Excellent analytical and report-writing skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage a varied workload and work to deadlines
- Confident using valuation software and Microsoft Office applications
Qualifications:
- MRICS, FRICS, or AssocRICS qualified (or working towards)
- Sava Level 6 Diploma - Residential Surveying and Valuation
- Registered Valuer status (preferred or required, depending on role)
- Full UK driving licence (if role involves site inspections)
