Senior Bridge Engineer

As a Senior Bridge Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping, leading, and delivering projects—while mentoring junior engineers and working directly with clients and stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and manage the design and assessment of bridge and civil structures, from concept through to construction.
• Carry out structural analysis, technical reviews, and design checks in line with Eurocodes, DMRB, and other relevant standards.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and drawings.
• Manage project resources, budgets, and timelines, often across multiple live projects.
• Act as the main technical point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
• Support junior engineers and contribute to their development through mentoring and technical guidance.

What We’re Looking For

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (MEng/MSc preferred).
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) with ICE or IStructE.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in bridge design, assessment, and/or inspection.
• Strong knowledge of UK bridge codes and standards.
• Experience using relevant software (e.g., MIDAS, LUSAS, AutoCAD, REVIT, etc.).
• Ability to work in a client-facing role and lead multidisciplinary teams.
• A proactive, flexible, and collaborative attitude—essential in a dynamic SME setting.
