Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to support the delivery of large-scale data centre projects in Spain. The role will focus on the design coordination, technical oversight, and construction support of electrical systems, working closely with project managers, contractors, consultants, and end clients.

This position is suited to an engineer with strong data centre or complex construction experience and a solid technical grounding in LV and MV electrical infrastructure.

Key ResponsibilitiesElectrical Engineering & Technical Delivery

• Lead and review the design and installation of LV and MV electrical systems for data centre facilities
• Support the delivery of power distribution systems including transformers, switchgear, UPS, generators, and earthing systems
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, local regulations, and international standards (IEC, IEEE, BS, etc.)
• Review technical submissions, method statements, test plans, and commissioning procedures
• Provide technical guidance and problem-solving support during construction and commissioning phases

Project & Stakeholder Coordination

• Work closely with project management, CSA, mechanical, and commissioning teams to ensure coordinated delivery
• Liaise with clients, consultants, utility providers, and subcontractors
• Participate in design reviews, technical workshops, and site progress meetings
• Support programme delivery by identifying risks, constraints, and mitigation measures

Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure electrical works are delivered in line with quality, health & safety, and environmental requirements
• Support inspections, FAT/SAT activities, and final handover documentation
• Contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives

Required Experience & QualificationsEssential

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Proven experience as a Senior Electrical Engineer on data centre, mission-critical, or large-scale construction projects
• Strong technical knowledge of LV and MV electrical systems
• Experience supporting projects through design, construction, and commissioning phases
• Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and client-facing environments

Desirable

• Direct experience on hyperscale or colocation data centres
• Knowledge of redundancy concepts (N, N+1, 2N) and critical power systems
• Familiarity with Spanish and EU electrical regulations
• Chartered Engineer or working toward chartership (CEng or equivalent)
