We are currently working with a multi-disciplinary consultancy committed to delivering innovative, sustainable, and practical solutions across a broad range of sectors including infrastructure, environment, construction, and development. With a strong presence in Cornwall and the South West, they combine local knowledge with national expertise to serve public and private sector clients.
They are seeking an experienced Senior Technician to join our dynamic Cornwall-based team. Working across multiple sectors, you will be involved in the design and delivery of a wide variety of projects, supporting engineers and consultants with technical input, CAD/BIM modelling, and project coordination.
This is a key role for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is ready to take the lead on technical delivery, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring quality and accuracy across all outputs.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Revit
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to deliver high-quality designs
- Support and mentor junior technicians, fostering knowledge sharing and skills development
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, technical specifications, and project requirements
- Manage your workload efficiently across multiple projects, maintaining clear communication with colleagues and clients
- Contribute to project planning and design reviews, bringing a strong technical perspective
Requirements
- Minimum HNC/HND in Civil Engineering, Construction, or related discipline
- Proven experience as a Technician or Senior Technician within a consultancy environment
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and ideally one or more of: Civil 3D, Revit, MicroDrainage, or other design software
- Solid understanding of UK building regulations, design standards, and construction processes
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams
- A full UK driving licence is preferred
