Structural Design Engineer – Precast Concrete

A leading precast concrete specialist is seeking an experienced Structural Design Engineer to join its design team in Oranmore, Co. Galway. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of precast concrete projects, including multi-storey buildings and car parks, with ongoing training and career development opportunities.

You will manage structural design projects from initial calculations through to production, ensuring designs meet project specifications and quality standards. Responsibilities include checking 3D models, general arrangement drawings and shop drawings, mentoring Design Technicians, and liaising with clients, external design teams and contractors.

You will also provide technical support to internal departments, manufacturing teams and site erection crews.

Requirements

• Third-level degree in Structural Engineering or a related discipline
• Previous structural design experience, ideally involving precast or reinforced concrete
• Experience preparing structural calculations and reviewing technical drawings and 3D models
• Strong communication, organisation and workload management skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and work independently and as part of a team
