As a key hire for our expanding SME consultancy, you'll work closely with directors and senior staff on a variety of transport planning and modelling projects across the region—and beyond. For the right candidate, this role offers a clear pathway to a senior leadership position, with the autonomy to develop and grow our transport planning services.

Key Responsibilties -

  • Develop and manage transport models using tools such as SATURN, VISUM, VISSIM, Arcady, LinSig, or TRICS.
  • Prepare and review Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, and Feasibility Studies.
  • Support planning applications with transport evidence and technical documentation.
  • Liaise directly with clients, local authorities, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Mentor junior team members and help build internal capabilities in the transport team.
  • Contribute to business development, including bid writing and client engagement.

What We’re Looking For -

  • A degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a transport planning/modelling role, ideally in a consultancy environment.
  • Proficiency in transport modelling software and excellent analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive mindset and a desire to take ownership of projects and client relationships.
  • Ambition to progress into a leadership role and develop the transport function of the business.
