We are seeking multiple Civil Design Engineers to join a growing water engineering consultancy team working on long-term, high-impact infrastructure frameworks across the UK. If you have experience in clean water and/or wastewater network design—and a passion for delivering meaningful change in the water sector—this is your opportunity to help shape the future of water resilience and river health.
You’ll be part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team driving major infrastructure improvements across the UK water industry. Our portfolio includes several flagship AMP8 frameworks—including a £100 million, 10-year single-award partnership focused on improving river ecosystems in North West England.

Responsibilities
- Leading the creation of outline and detailed design documentation for wastewater and clean water infrastructure projects.
- Producing high-quality calculations, technical reports, and construction-ready drawings.
- Supporting feasibility studies and contributing to optioneering decisions.
- Liaising directly with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to understand and deliver on technical requirements.
- Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to a collaborative and knowledge-sharing culture.
- Engaging with frameworks that ensure job security, long-term progression, and real-world impact.
Required experience
- Experience in water sector civil engineering design—especially in wastewater networks or clean water infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of UK Water Industry standards, British Standards, and design codes.
- Skilled communicator with the ability to coordinate across stakeholders and technical teams.
- Effective at managing deadlines, influencing others, and working in high-performing environments.
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline (postgraduate qualifications are a plus).
- Membership with a relevant professional body (e.g., ICE, CIWEM) or working toward chartership.
