Director of Acoustics (Remote, UK-based)

An Irish-based multi-disciplinary consultancy is seeking an experienced Director of Acoustics to support the growth of its UK operations. Renowned for delivering high-quality, client-focused solutions across a broad range of sectors, the company is expanding its presence in the UK market, with plans to establish a physical office in the near future. This role presents an exciting opportunity to join a well-regarded consultancy at a pivotal time of expansion.

The Director of Acoustics will lead the delivery of technical acoustic consultancy services, with a strong emphasis on building acoustics across projects such as schools, hospitals, and commercial buildings. The role involves strategic leadership, project management, client engagement, and mentoring junior staff. The successful candidate will also contribute to the development and growth of the acoustics division and may support environmental acoustics projects in collaboration with other teams.

Key Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Director of Acoustics or in a senior acoustics consultancy role within the UK
• Strong technical background in building acoustics, with experience in environmental acoustics considered an advantage
• Demonstrated expertise in project management and client relationship development
• Track record of leading multidisciplinary project teams and delivering complex projects
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Chartered status or working towards chartership is desirable
