Junior Quantity Surveyor – Design Manager’s Team

The Opportunity:
This is an exciting opportunity for a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established commercial team, working closely with the Design Manager in our client’s UK office based in Brigg, Lincolnshire.

This role is ideal for a post-graduate Quantity Surveyor, ideally with 2 years’ experience in the construction industry. However, candidates with experience from other sectors and a strong interest in construction and commercial management are also encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Design Manager and commercial team with the cost management of projects from design through to completion.
  • Assist with estimating, cost planning, and procurement processes.
  • Review drawings and specifications to ensure alignment with project budgets.
  • Liaise with clients, architects, and suppliers to ensure clear communication and efficient project progression.
  • Monitor and manage variations and assist in preparing valuations and final accounts.
  • Ensure work is carried out in line with commercial policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Post-graduate degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
  • Ideally 2 years of relevant industry experience (construction preferred, but other sectors considered).
  • Excellent numerical, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational ability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with estimating software is a bonus.
  • Willingness to learn and grow within a dynamic, supportive environment.
