Quantity Surveyor – Residential Developments 

We are currently seeking an ambitious Quantity Surveyor to join a leading residential developer with a strong pipeline of projects across the West of England. This is an excellent opportunity for a QS who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to progress within a well-structured, forward-thinking commercial team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all commercial aspects of residential new-build projects from start to finish.
  • Prepare tender and contract documents, bills of quantities, and procurement schedules.
  • Carry out cost analysis and provide accurate budget forecasts and financial reporting.
  • Source, negotiate, and manage subcontractor agreements.
  • Monitor project expenditure, variations, and valuations to ensure financial efficiency.
  • Work closely with project managers, site teams, and senior management to deliver developments on time and within budget.
  • Support value engineering initiatives to maximise profitability.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within residential housebuilding or main contracting.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost management, and procurement.
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Confident communicator able to liaise at all levels.
