Quantity Surveyor – Housebuilding & Development

A respected and growing residential developer is looking to strengthen its commercial team with an experienced Quantity Surveyor. This is a fantastic opportunity for a QS looking to develop their career with a company that offers stability, progression, and exciting projects.

Day-to-Day Duties:

Full responsibility for cost planning, forecasting, and reporting on multiple live projects.
Preparing bills of quantities, schedules of works, and tender documentation.
Running tender processes, appointing subcontractors, and managing ongoing relationships.
Monitoring and reporting project costs, ensuring value for money at all times.
Assisting in the preparation of monthly CVRs and final accounts.
Supporting the commercial manager and mentoring junior QS staff.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Experience working for a housebuilder, contractor, or surveying practice.
Solid background in cost management, procurement, and tendering.
Good knowledge of JCT contracts and construction law.
Organised and able to work autonomously when required.
A keen eye for detail and commercial awareness.
