Quantity Surveyor

Key responsibilities include:

Managing the commercial and contractual aspects of major civil engineering packages from procurement through to final account.Preparing and reviewing subcontract packages, scopes of work, orders, and associated commercial documentation.Managing subcontractor accounts, including applications for payment, valuations, variations, compensation events, and final accounts.Preparing monthly cost reports, forecasts, CVRs, cash-flow projections, and management reports.Monitoring project costs against budgets and identifying commercial risks, opportunities, and potential cost overruns.Assessing and negotiating variations, claims, extensions of time, and other contractual changes.Supporting procurement activities, including tender analysis, subcontractor selection, and commercial negotiations.Maintaining accurate records of costs, commitments, accruals, and project expenditure.Working collaboratively with operational teams to identify and maximise commercial opportunities.Ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and company commercial procedures.Building and maintaining strong working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.Supporting senior commercial management with commercial strategy, risk management, and project reporting.Assisting with the preparation and agreement of final accounts and resolution of commercial disputes.

Project Experience: Major civil engineering and infrastructure schemes, including highways, structures, earthworks, utilities, drainage, enabling works, and other complex civils packages.
