This position is ideal for a Senior Architect (RIAI Registered) with strong technical and design skills who wants to work independently while also mentoring others. You will take full responsibility for project delivery from concept through to completion, manage client relationships, and oversee technical coordination. Over time, there will be opportunities to build and lead your own team within the practice.
Responsibilities
• Lead projects from feasibility through planning, tender, and construction stages
• Oversee technical design, detailing, and on-site delivery
• Manage project scope, timelines, and client coordination
• Ensure compliance with Irish Building Regulations and BCAR standards
• Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to achieve design excellence
• Mentor junior architects and contribute to the studio’s ongoing growth
Skills and Experience
• RIAI Registered Architect
• 15+ years of professional experience
• Proven ability to deliver projects through all stages
• Excellent understanding of Irish Building Regulations and BCAR
• Proficient in ArchiCAD or Revit with solid BIM knowledge
• Experience in both residential and commercial sectors
• Strong leadership, management, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and drive projects forward
