We are seeking a skilled Engineer or Senior Civil Infrastructure Engineer to join a consultancy in Hertfordshire, United Kingdom. As a key member of our Civil Engineering Design firm, you will be responsible to designing infrastructure projects, review and project manage projects whilst mentoring junior staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in civil engineering and be passionate to learn and develop towards chartership.
This design Consultancy work on projects heavily in the industrial sector ( film studios) and large logistic centres), commercial sector with urban redevelopments for shopping centres and some residential projects. The office is a multidisciplinary which work together across projects to deliver the highest standard of work. The Ideal candidate will have a experience with cut and fill, Earthworks, Development Surface water and Foul water drainage systems, Access and site development.
Responsibilities
Experience
- Bachelor's degree (BSc or BEng) in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred
- 5 years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on infrastructure design and project management from a UK consultancy.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D/ PDS, Microdrainage / Info Drainage PDS and other design tools
- Be on route of have obtained IEng or CEng status
- Strong understanding of regulatory standards, codes, and guidelines related to infrastructure design and construction
- Excellent report writing skills with some experience of flood risk assessments FRA
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Take ownership in your team and help mentor junior staff
- Review designs and project work to the highest standard to deliver on the clients expectations
- Liaise with clients and Stakeholders
- Ability to manage work load and work to tight deadlines
