A highly respected, multidisciplinary landscape practice in Birmingham is looking for an experienced Senior or Associate Landscape Architect to join their 35+ strong team. Established over 13 years ago, the studio has built a national reputation for delivering innovative and sustainable design solutions that bridge landscape architecture, urban design, and ecology. Their work spans some of the largest and most sustainable settlements in the UK, alongside residential, urban regeneration, and detailed public realm projects.

The successful candidate will take a lead role within the team, managing resources, overseeing project delivery, and providing day-to-day guidance and mentorship to junior colleagues. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who thrives on collaboration, enjoys developing others, and wants to play an active part in shaping projects at all scales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a diverse portfolio of landscape projects from concept through to delivery.
  • Oversee project resourcing and ensure high-quality, timely outputs.
  • Mentor and support junior staff, fostering a collaborative studio environment.
  • Work closely with directors and senior team members to maintain design excellence.
  • Engage confidently with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.

About the Studio:

This well-established practice offers a hybrid and flexible working environment, though you’ll need to be in the Birmingham office three times a week to act as a point of contact and mentor for the wider team. The studio is known for its friendly, social culture, with regular events, a social committee, field trips, and team days all contributing to a positive, connected atmosphere.

The directors are highly engaged in projects and committed to personal development, offering structured support and encouraging progression within the business. Regular one-to-one mentorship sessions provide ongoing opportunities for growth and reflection.

What’s on Offer:

  • Hybrid working and flexible hours.
  • Competitive salary with company-dependent bonuses.
  • A sociable, supportive, and design-led working culture.
  • Clear pathways for development and internal promotion.
  • Monthly mentor–mentee sessions and guidance from hands-on directors.
  • Opportunity to contribute to some of the UK’s most ambitious sustainable developments.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious landscape architect ready to take the next step in their career — joining a forward-thinking Birmingham studio that blends creativity, collaboration, and a passion for shaping better places.
