Our client is a well-established European design consultancy operating across all sectors of the built environment, with a strong presence in the UK market. Known for delivering complex, large-scale projects through integrated design and management expertise, they work closely with both British and international contractors on high-profile schemes. As part of their continued growth in the UK, they are now seeking a senior leader to strengthen their London-based buildings team, with a particular focus on healthcare projects.

We are seeking a Project Director / Project Manager – Buildings (Healthcare Sector) at Associate Director or Director level to lead the delivery of major Design & Build schemes in the UK. Based in London, this role will involve overseeing large-scale building projects, managing substantial design packages, and acting as the key interface between clients, consultants, and contractors. You will take full commercial and technical responsibility for projects valued at £10m+ in design scope, ensuring programme, budget, and quality objectives are met. Experience in healthcare and NHS environments will be highly advantageous, as you will play a pivotal role in driving delivery excellence within this specialist sector.

Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • Architect or MSc-qualified Civil Engineer

  • 15+ years’ experience (20+ preferred) in the built environment sector

  • Proven track record delivering large-scale D&B building projects in the UK

  • Experience working with both British and international contractors at Project Director or Project Manager level

  • Strong commercial background, with demonstrable responsibility for managing £10m+ D&B design packages

  • Experience within NHS or healthcare projects highly desirable

  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills

In return, our client offers the opportunity to take on a senior leadership position within a respected European consultancy expanding its UK presence. You will benefit from a competitive executive-level salary and benefits package, the opportunity to lead landmark healthcare developments, and clear scope to influence the strategic direction of the London buildings team. If you are an experienced Project Director or senior Project Manager ready to step into a high-impact leadership role, we encourage you to apply today.
