Our client is a leading contractor with a strong reputation for delivering complex and large-scale CSA packages across mission-critical data centres and high-end commercial developments throughout Ireland. With a portfolio of prestigious projects and a commitment to innovation, quality, and performance, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team.
Role Overview
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of CSA works across multiple fast-paced projects. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing cost management, procurement strategies, subcontractor management, and ensuring commercial best practices are followed from pre-construction through to final account.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the commercial delivery of CSA packages on major data centre and commercial projects.
- Manage all aspects of the quantity surveying function including valuations, variations, and cost reporting.
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to ensure financial control of the project.
- Prepare and manage subcontract packages, including tendering, negotiation, and contract administration.
- Monitor and control project budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
- Conduct risk and value management and cost control.
- Produce monthly CVRs and cost reports for internal and client use.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and relevant legislation.
- Support junior QS staff and contribute to their development.
Requirements
- Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
- Minimum 7+ years post-graduate experience, ideally with a main contractor or specialist subcontractor.
- Proven track record delivering CSA packages on data centres, commercial, or industrial projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, particularly NEC and JCT.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel if required (particularly for European data centre projects).
