ATG are working with a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy based in Limerick, providing high-quality design and project delivery services across the building, infrastructure, and environmental sectors.
As they continue to expand our operations, they are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Technician to join a growing team.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will support the engineering team in the preparation of high-quality technical drawings and models for a range of civil and structural projects. This role is suited to a proactive individual with a strong technical background and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare 2D and 3D CAD drawings for civil, structural, and infrastructure projects.
- Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to produce detailed design drawings.
- Assist in the development and management of project documentation and drawing registers.
- Maintain drawing standards and ensure consistency across all projects.
- Coordinate with external consultants and contractors when required.
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to design coordination.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a CAD Technician role within an engineering or construction consultancy.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
- Experience with Revit, Civil 3D, or other BIM software is a strong advantage.
- Relevant qualification in CAD, drafting, or engineering (Level 6 or above).
- Strong understanding of engineering drawing standards and detailing practices.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Desirable
- Experience working on Irish or UK engineering projects.
- Familiarity with document control systems and file management.
- Interest in continued learning and upskilling in BIM and digital design tools.
