Senior Structural Engineer

The Senior Structural Engineer will take a leading role in delivering a variety of projects across the UK. Responsibilities include managing design delivery, coordinating with clients and project teams, and overseeing schemes from initial concept through to completion. • Degree in Structural Engineering (MEng or BEng)
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Structural Engineer within the UK
• Chartered or working towards Chartered status with the IStructE
• Full UK driving licence (preferred)
• Proficient in AutoCAD; Revit experience beneficial but not essential
• Strong capability in 3D structural analysis and design software (ideally Tekla Structural Designer and TEDDS)
• Experience carrying out structural inspections and producing technical reports
• Broad knowledge of structural design across common construction materials
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills

Role Responsibilities:

• Lead the delivery of structural engineering projects from feasibility through to construction
• Manage client relationships and act as the main point of contact on allocated schemes
• Supervise, mentor, and review the work of junior engineers and technicians
• Prepare and check structural calculations, design packages, and specifications
• Coordinate design input across multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders
• Attend and lead site visits, design meetings, and project reviews
• Contribute to internal technical discussions and promote best practice
• Support senior management in business development and maintaining professional standards
