The Senior Structural Engineer will take a leading role in delivering a variety of projects across the UK. Responsibilities include managing design delivery, coordinating with clients and project teams, and overseeing schemes from initial concept through to completion. - Degree in Structural Engineering (MEng or BEng)
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Structural Engineer within the UK
- Chartered or working towards Chartered status with the IStructE
- Full UK driving licence (preferred)
- Proficient in AutoCAD; Revit experience beneficial but not essential
- Strong capability in 3D structural analysis and design software (ideally Tekla Structural Designer and TEDDS)
- Experience carrying out structural inspections and producing technical reports
- Broad knowledge of structural design across common construction materials
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of structural engineering projects from feasibility through to construction
- Manage client relationships and act as the main point of contact on allocated schemes
- Supervise, mentor, and review the work of junior engineers and technicians
- Prepare and check structural calculations, design packages, and specifications
- Coordinate design input across multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders
- Attend and lead site visits, design meetings, and project reviews
- Contribute to internal technical discussions and promote best practice
- Support senior management in business development and maintaining professional standards
