A respected and long-established practice in Cork is expanding its team and is looking to hire a talented Architectural Technologist. You’ll work on a variety of high-quality projects, managing technical design stages, preparing detailed documentation, and collaborating closely with architects, engineers, and consultants throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and Revit models for design and construction stages
Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and clients to deliver fully integrated design solutions
Manage documentation for planning, tender, and construction phases
Conduct site inspections and liaise with project teams to ensure compliance with Irish Building Regulations and BC(A)R standards
Lead or assist in Revit model management, BIM coordination, and drawing production
Participate in design and technical meetings, tracking actions and updates
Support junior colleagues and contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture
Requirements:
Degree in Architectural Technology or equivalent
4+ years’ professional experience in Ireland
Proven technical ability across multiple project stages
Strong proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
Excellent construction detailing and technical documentation skills
Working knowledge of Irish Building Regulations, planning, and tender processes
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment
Desirable:
Experience in pharmaceutical, commercial, and residential projects
Familiarity with BIM workflows and sustainable design principles
Excellent communication and coordination skills
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
