Senior Architect

An established multidisciplinary consultancy with a strong and expanding presence in Ireland is seeking an experienced Senior Architect to join its growing architectural team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of medium to large-scale projects across sectors including aviation, industrial, education, transportation, mixed-use and civic developments.

This position would suit a confident, technically strong architect with proven experience delivering projects in Ireland, who enjoys being closely involved in both design and site-based delivery within a collaborative, design-led environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and contribute to architectural projects from concept design through to construction and handover

Take an active role in site-based delivery, including inspections, coordination with contractors, responding to RFIs and supporting contract administration

Produce and oversee high-quality technical drawings, specifications and documentation

Ensure compliance with Irish Planning regulations, Building Regulations, BCAR and relevant Technical Guidance Documents

Coordinate with structural, MEP, fire, acoustic and other specialist consultants

Support and mentor junior architects and architectural staff

Contribute to feasibility studies, planning applications and regulatory submissions

Manage multiple projects concurrently while meeting programme and quality requirements

Engage confidently with clients and stakeholders

Requirements

RIAI or RIBA Registered Architect

Proven site and construction delivery experience (essential)

Demonstrable experience delivering projects within Ireland

Strong technical design and detailing capability

Excellent working knowledge of:

• Irish Planning System
• Building Regulations (Parts A–M)
• BCAR and Technical Guidance Documents
• High level of proficiency in Revit / BIM
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment

Desirable Experience

Aviation, industrial, education or transportation projects

Complex or highly regulated environments

Working within multidisciplinary consultancy teams
