A design-led practice in Wexford is seeking a skilled Architectural Technologist to support the delivery of high-quality residential and small-scale commercial developments. The successful candidate will play a key role in technical design, documentation, and client coordination, working closely with senior architects and consultants.

You’ll join a team known for its personal approach to design and technical precision, with a strong pipeline of new projects across the South East.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Produce detailed technical drawings, specifications, and tender documentation using AutoCAD (Revit experience an advantage)

Prepare 2D and 3D presentation material for planning and client review

Assist in preparing and submitting planning applications and compliance documentation

Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and local authorities to ensure project delivery

Carry out site visits and inspections as required

Resolve design and technical issues efficiently during all project stages

Maintain project documentation and ensure compliance with Irish Building Regulations

Stay up to date with emerging design tools, sustainability standards, and industry trends

 

Requirements:

Degree in Architectural Technology or equivalent

3–5 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within residential design

Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit or BIM experience a strong bonus)

Excellent technical detailing and construction knowledge

Strong understanding of Irish Building Regulations and planning processes

Good organisational and communication skills

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines independently

 

Desirable:

Experience working directly with clients and contractors on residential schemes

Familiarity with sustainable design principles

Strong visual presentation skills

Local knowledge of Wexford and the South East area
