We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Landscape Planner to join a dynamic, purpose-driven consultancy that’s challenging the status quo in the environmental sector. You’ll work at the forefront of landscape planning, helping shape diverse development projects across the UK — from urban regeneration schemes to expansive rural masterplans.
What You’ll Be Doing:
No two days are the same. Working in a creative, multi-disciplinary team, you’ll take the lead on delivering high-quality landscape planning input across all project stages, from early concept to planning submission. You’ll be instrumental in:
Overseeing the delivery of accurate, insightful and visually compelling reports
Engaging directly with clients and stakeholders to deliver projects on time, on budget, and above expectation
Leading on landscape and visual assessments, including LVAs, LVIAs, and EIA chapters
Carrying out site feasibility work and shaping development proposals from inception
Preparing strategic landscape designs and mitigation strategies
Working alongside in-house specialists in ecology, green infrastructure and arboriculture
Managing a rich and varied portfolio of urban and rural projects
Contributing to business development and future direction of the business
Having the opportunity to mentor, innovate, and take ownership of internal initiatives beyond project delivery
What We’re Looking For:
A degree in landscape architecture or a closely related discipline
Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI) or working towards it
Excellent communication skills — written, verbal and visual
Strong project management capabilities
Experience leading on LVIAs, LVAs, and landscape-led design strategies
A solid understanding of EIA processes and UK planning policy
Proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary projects and lead client relationships
Experience engaging with planning authorities and statutory consultees
Track record in business development and securing work
Full UK driving licence
Nice to Have:
Experience in expert witness or public inquiry work
A desire to coach and mentor others within a collaborative team
