Access Talent Group are recruiting for a planning consultancy, which is growing consistently, enjoying a reputation in the market for excellence and delivery. They offer has expanded from planning, to design, to environmental consultancy advice, evolving to economics, heritage expertise, transport and infrastructure and finally land and property. They are looking for an Associate Transport Planner to join the Transport team which is growing.

- You will deliver market leading consultancy advice, necessitating a sound understanding of client requirements on projects and recognition of competing stakeholders’ interests with effective resource management.
- You will work on and be involved in managing a number of exciting, complex transport planning projects and will lead on the development and delivery of projects with the support of our Directors and Transport team.
Essential:
- A degree in a related subject (a master’s degree in transport would be desirable)
- A thorough understanding of transport planning policy
- Experience with Transport Statements, Assessments and Travel Plans;Access strategy work, parking strategies, sustainable transport, S106 agreements, S278 agreements and guidance such as NPPF, DfT Transport Assessment guidelines, Manual for Streets etc;
- Use of the TRICS database;
- Setting up and running PICADY’s and ARCADYS;An understanding of LINSIG and can carry this modelling out for different scenarios, understand what they are doing and why;
- The principles of micro-simulation and strategic models/modelling;
- Junction design (priority, roundabout, signals).
