This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly experienced structural engineer with a proven track record in project delivery, team development, work acquisition, and client management. As an Associate Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and leading the Structural and Civil Engineering teams. This position involves significant client-facing responsibilities and project leadership. A key part of your role will be identifying new opportunities, securing new and repeat business, and fostering strong client relationships.

You will actively engage with clients and professionals at the earliest stages of projects, leveraging your engineering expertise to make impactful contributions to design concepts. You will be instrumental in the delivery of projects from inception to completion, managing resources, and nurturing client relationships to foster growth and secure new opportunities.

Specific Requirements

Experience: Minimum 15+ years of post-graduate experience in Structural, Civil, and Renewable Energy projects, from inception to completion.

Technical Proficiency: Strong expertise in engineering disciplines, with a solid understanding of British Standards, Eurocodes, and analysis software such as SCIA.

Project Management: Proven ability to manage projects of various scales, addressing diverse client needs.

Specialised Expertise: Experience assessing existing structures, as well as delivering innovative new build designs.

Industry Network: Strong connections with clients, professional practices, architects, and contractors in the London and Southeast markets, with an appreciation of the construction property landscape.

Minimum Requirements

Education: Degree-qualified in a relevant discipline.

Professional Accreditation: Chartered Engineer (CEng), Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers and/or the Institution of Structural Engineers.

Design Leadership: Extensive experience leading and managing structural engineering design projects across various sectors, from concept to delivery.

Business Acumen: Expertise in selling Civil and Structural Engineering services, preparing proposals, and negotiating scopes of service.

Project Experience: Proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary project teams and delivering projects valued between £10m and £100m.
