Civil Design Engineer

Access Talent Group is collaborating with a globally renowned design consultancy seeking a Civil Design Engineer specialising in Highways and Active Travel Projects to join their expanding team in Dublin, Cork or Carlow.

Our client is an industry leader in delivering innovative infrastructure solutions. They specialise in highway and active travel projects, including road networks, pedestrian and cycling infrastructure, and sustainable transport solutions. This role provides a fantastic opportunity to work on high-profile projects and contribute to the development of modern and efficient transportation networks.

In this role you would be expected to design and oversee highway and active travel infrastructure projects, including road layouts, cycleways, and pedestrian pathways, prepare planning applications, tender documentation, and construction packages, conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and traffic impact analyses and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in highways, active travel, or transport infrastructure projects within the Irish or UK market
• Experience in civil disciplines such as structures, drainage, and urban infrastructure (desirable).
• Passionate about enhancing sustainable transport networks in Ireland.
• Familiarity with Eurocodes, Irish design standards, and traffic modelling software.
