Access Talent Group are recruiting for a leading UK engineering consultancy who is seeking a Civil Engineer with experience in the UK water sector to join a growing and highly skilled team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects, supporting the delivery of sustainable and resilient solutions across the water industry. Ths will including Trunk mains, distribution networks, and strategic connections and Civil and structural works on water production and treatment sites. Being an SME of 50 employees they are able to provide project scope across the whole sector but not having to be working in a large organisation. This means that no day is the same and will give each indivudal challenges across the water sector. 

Project Delivery & Technical Leadership

  • Contribute to and lead civil engineering elements of projects from early concept through to construction delivery.
  • Provide sound technical guidance to project teams and ensure work aligns with client and industry standards.
  • Monitor progress to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to required quality levels.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong working relationships with clients through professional communication and project collaboration.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including contractors, structural engineers and environmental specialists.

Quality & Assurance

  • Support quality management processes and undertake technical reviews of designs and documentation.

Innovation & Best Practice

  • Maintain awareness of emerging industry technologies and best practice approaches.
  • Contribute to sustainable and forward-thinking engineering solutions.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Typically 3+ years’ experience delivering civil engineering projects, ideally within the Water sector.
  • Working towards or holding Chartered status (CEng) with a recognised professional institution (e.g., ICE) is advantageous.
  • Proficient in industry-standard design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
