Our client is looking for a talented Project Engineer who thrives on delivering practical, innovative, and sustainable solutions across a wide range of sectors. This is an outstanding opportunity for a Chartered Engineer — or an ambitious professional rapidly approaching Chartership — to step up, lead, and make a real impact.

The Opportunity:

You’ll lead smaller projects from concept through to completion while contributing technical expertise to larger, more complex schemes. This role offers the perfect platform to develop greater independence, deepen your technical skills, and strengthen your project management capabilities — all while helping shape the next generation of engineers and contributing to business growth.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Deliver high-quality civil and structural calculations and design solutions take full ownership of smaller projects and provide key support on major schemesLead unsupervised site attendance and manage project administration end-to-end. Mentor junior engineers and actively drive your own CPDBuild commercial awareness and a strong understanding of buildability. Play an active role in business development and client relationship growth.

What We’re Looking For:

Strong technical design capability combined with excellent communication skills (internal and external) clear progress toward professional qualification (Chartered status preferred or actively pursuing) proven ability to manage small projects efficiently and prioritise workload effectively. Solid experience in Highway & Roads DesignStrong drainage expertise proficiency in Micro Drainage or Causeway Flow for network analysis. Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D for highway design, grading, and corridor modelling (highly desirable) SuDS design experience (desirable)

How Success Is Measured:

Efficient and high-quality delivery of small projects clear, confident communication with clients and colleagues consistent achievement of project milestones on time. Timely completion of timesheets, purchase order reports, invoicing, and fee forecasting.
