About the Role

We are looking for an experienced HV Electrical Engineer to join the delivery team on major HV substation EPC projects across Finland and Norway, supporting the critical infrastructure powering hyperscale data centres throughout the Nordics.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary project team, you will be responsible for the installation, coordination, inspection, testing and technical delivery of HV electrical works, ensuring all activities are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the installation and delivery of HV electrical systems on EPC substation projects.
• Coordinate electrical subcontractors and ensure works are completed in accordance with project specifications.
• Review electrical drawings, technical documentation and installation methods.
• Support the construction, testing and energisation of HV substations.
• Monitor site progress and ensure works are delivered safely, on schedule and within budget.
• Coordinate with civil, protection & control, commissioning and project management teams.
• Manage RFIs, technical queries and design clarifications throughout the project.
• Carry out inspections and ensure compliance with quality standards and client requirements.
• Assist with FAT, SAT, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
• Prepare technical reports, progress updates and as-built documentation.
• Ensure compliance with project HSE procedures and promote a strong safety culture.
• Support project handover and final documentation.

Requirements

• Degree or qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Previous experience working on HV/MV substation projects.
• Experience delivering electrical works within EPC environments is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of substation equipment including transformers, GIS/AIS switchgear, CTs, VTs, circuit breakers and protection systems.
• Understanding of HV installation, testing and commissioning activities.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams and technical drawings.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Fluent English is essential.
• EU passport or unrestricted right to work within the EU is preferred.
