The Role
The Mechanical Engineer will support the design and delivery of building services projects, conducting both office-based design work and site visits. The role offers the opportunity to work on complex projects across residential and commercial developments while ensuring technical excellence, compliance, and value for clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out detailed mechanical building services design, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Undertake site visits to review installation, progress, and compliance with design specifications.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Prepare reports, drawings, and specifications to a high technical standard.
- Support project managers in achieving client satisfaction and project milestones.
About You
- Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
- 2+ years’ experience in mechanical building services design (commercial and/or residential).
- Strong knowledge of building regulations and mechanical design standards in Ireland.
- Experience in site inspections and liaison with contractors.
- Familiarity with design tools (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
