The Role
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering projects to the highest technical standards. You will support the Leadership Team in resource planning, staff coaching, and ensuring project milestones are met while maintaining design quality and compliance. Collaboration with teams across offices will be a key element of the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple technical design packages, ensuring delivery to programme.
- Take full technical responsibility for Mechanical Building Services output on projects.
- Act as a key point of contact for client management and engagement.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and motivation for engineering teams.
- Drive project implementation planning, identifying technical priorities and solutions.
- Deliver detailed design packages across a range of mechanical systems including:
- HVAC Solutions
- Public Health Installations
- Fire Engineering Systems
- Building Management Systems
About You
- Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant construction discipline.
- Significant experience in Mechanical Building Services design, ideally at Senior Engineer level.
- Strong knowledge of Republic of Ireland Regulations, including Part L and CIBSE comfort criteria.
- Experience across sectors such as Residential, Healthcare, Education, and Commercial.
- Chartered (or working towards Chartership) would be an advantage.
- Familiarity with design software such as IES and REVIT/BIM (training can be provided).
- Proven ability to manage resources, mentor engineers, and maintain technical excellence.
