The Role
The Sustainability Engineer will play a key role in environmental and sustainable design, contributing to a wide range of projects while developing expertise in advanced modelling, energy analysis, and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities
- Undertake building performance modelling, including daylight and sunlight analysis, energy auditing, and load assessments.
- Support delivery of sustainability solutions aligned with BREEAM, LEED, and BER accreditation standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate sustainable design principles into major building services projects.
- Prepare reports, simulations, and presentations to communicate findings to clients and project teams.
- Contribute to the development of innovative environmental design solutions across a variety of sectors.
About You
- Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, or related discipline.
- 1–3 years’ experience in sustainability or building services engineering (graduates with strong placement/project experience will be considered).
- Familiarity with computer modelling tools such as Revit, IES, or MagiCAD.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in energy auditing and environmental performance assessments.
- Knowledge of Irish building regulations and international sustainability standards (BREEAM, LEED, BER).
- Ambitious, detail-oriented, and motivated to progress into a senior sustainability role.
