A leading multidisciplinary practice in Cork is looking to hire a Part II Architect to join their growing design team. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a wide range of project types, from large-scale residential and apartment developments to commercial and mixed-use schemes.
The successful candidate will work within a collaborative studio environment, supporting senior architects while taking ownership of technical and design elements throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit
Develop 2D and 3D models, presentation boards, and design documentation
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and consultants to coordinate technical solutions
Prepare planning applications and ensure compliance with Irish Building Regulations and BC(A)R standards
Liaise with planning authorities, contractors, and project stakeholders as required
Attend design and coordination meetings, record key actions, and manage follow-ups
Assist in project delivery from early-stage design through to construction
Maintain project documentation and support project management activities
Stay up to date with CPD, evolving design tools, and regulatory changes
Requirements:
Master’s degree in Architecture with 2–3+ years post-graduate experience
Proven experience working on large-scale residential housing or apartment projects
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent technical drawing and detailing ability
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Able to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Proactive, detail-oriented, and driven to grow professionally
Desirable Skills:
Experience with BIM workflows and Revit model management
Familiarity with sustainable design principles and certification processes
Understanding of planning policies and procedures
Experience across all RIBA work stages, from concept through to completion
