ATG are working with a leading global consultancy with a presence in over 30 countries, delivering integrated solutions across environmental, engineering, and sustainability sectors. They are seeking a highly experienced Principal Environmental Consultant to join their Dublin office and lead high-profile projects for diverse international clients.
Role Overview:
The Principal Environmental Consultant will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, technical expertise, and client-facing advisory services across a broad spectrum of environmental projects. This role requires a combination of deep technical knowledge, project management experience, and the ability to develop and grow client relationships in a fast-paced, multinational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage complex environmental projects, ensuring delivery to the highest technical and professional standards.
- Provide expert advice on environmental impact assessments (EIA), permitting, regulatory compliance, remediation, and sustainability initiatives.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders.
- Mentor and guide junior consultants, fostering technical excellence and professional development.
- Identify business development opportunities and contribute to proposal writing and bid management.
- Keep abreast of emerging environmental regulations, industry trends, and best practices to inform client solutions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across international offices to deliver integrated solutions.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Ecology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 10–15 years’ experience in environmental consultancy, including significant leadership experience.
- Proven track record in managing high-value, complex projects for multinational clients.
- Strong technical expertise in areas such as EIA, environmental permitting, contaminated land, air quality, water resources, and sustainability assessments.
- Excellent understanding of Irish and EU environmental legislation and compliance requirements.
- Professional accreditation or membership (e.g., Chartered Environmentalist, IEMA, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
