Our client is a leading company specializing in civil engineering projects. They are currently seeking a talented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team and contribute to their continued success.

Job Description:

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in the financial and contractual management of civil engineering projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed within budget, on time, and to the required quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to work on a variety of challenging and rewarding projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare cost estimates and budgets for projects.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments.
  • Manage contracts and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Monitor project costs and financial progress.
  • Prepare and submit interim valuations and final accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
  • Provide advice on procurement strategy.
  • Assist in the preparation of tenders and procurement processes.
  • Conduct site visits and assessments as required.
  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Professional membership with RICS, CIOB, or equivalent is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the civil engineering sector.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts and procurement processes.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in using relevant software (e.g., MS Excel, AutoCAD).
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
